FAQs

Planning Your Safari

Tano Bora Collection combines deep East African knowledge, carefully selected partners, personal service and responsible travel principles. Every journey is designed around the guest rather than taken from a fixed template.

Begin by sharing your preferred destinations, travel dates, interests, group size and accommodation style. Our safari specialists will then create a personalised itinerary and refine it with you before booking.

For peak travel periods and popular destinations, planning six to twelve months in advance is recommended. Some journeys can be arranged closer to departure, depending on lodge and flight availability.

We can advise on suitable international arrival points and coordinate the safari around your flight schedule. Where flight booking services are available, these should be confirmed directly with the Tano Bora team.

Destinations

Tano Bora Collection creates journeys across Kenya, Tanzania, Uganda and Rwanda, with selected beach extensions in Zanzibar and along the East African coast.

The right destination depends on your interests, travel season and preferred pace. Kenya and Tanzania are ideal for classic wildlife safaris, while Uganda and Rwanda offer exceptional gorilla and primate experiences.

Travel Information

Inclusions vary by itinerary but may cover accommodation, meals, private or shared game drives, park fees, domestic transfers, guide services and selected activities. Every proposal must clearly identify included and excluded services.

Visa requirements depend on your nationality and the countries included in your itinerary. Travellers should confirm current requirements with official government or embassy sources before departure.

Pack lightweight neutral clothing, a warm layer for early mornings, comfortable shoes, sun protection, insect repellent, personal medication, binoculars and camera equipment. Soft-sided luggage may be required for small aircraft.

Health & Safety

Guest safety is central to planning. Tano Bora works with experienced guides, trusted accommodation partners and established transport providers. Guests must also follow guide instructions around wildlife and during activities.

Health recommendations differ by destination and personal medical history. Consult a qualified travel-health professional well before departure for current vaccination, malaria and medication guidance.

Most dietary requirements can be accommodated with advance notice. Share allergies, intolerances and dietary preferences during the planning process so arrangements can be confirmed with every property.
